“But the record in terms of appearances will still take more than 100 games. I can make it, if I spend my entire career with Napoli.
“I understood the affection of the Neapolitans on my first day, when I was presented alongside [Ezequiel] Lavezzi and there were already 1000 people there.”
Hamsik was then asked about Aurelio De Laurentiis and Maurizio Sarri.
“I have great respect for the president, and a good relationship too. As for the Coach, I told him that I wanted to change roles, and now I feel important again.
“My first game? That was with Cagliari, and my first goal was against Zalayeta. But my best success was the first Coppa Italia.”
