“What we wanted to do was win the game and we achieved it. Perhaps we should’ve scored some more goals, but after so many fixtures in a row it was a good result,” the captain told Sky Sport Italia.

Gabbiadini also got his first goal of the season, having previously put in some poor performances.
“I’m happy for Gabbiadini, as there were so many rumours about him and he responded on the field, which is the best way.
“We have a strong squad with so many great players and that is good for everyone.
“A new more defensive role? I am an attacking player, but if the Coach asks me then I am always available.”
