Marek Hamsik insists Juventus “are not unbeatable” in Serie A and believes Napoli can do to PSG what they did with Liverpool.
The Partenopei captain is on international duty with Slovakia and spoke to Pravda about his experiences at club level this season.
“Serie A is one of the best leagues in the world. It’s not just about Juve, as there are other strong sides like Roma, the two Milan clubs and it is a balanced division,” assured Hamsik.

“Serie A is one of the best leagues in the world. It’s not just about Juve, as there are other strong sides like Roma, the two Milan clubs and it is a balanced division,” assured Hamsik.
“Juventus have strengthened, but they are not unbeatable. We can fight to the end of the season and hope to catch them.”
Napoli have impressed in the Champions League, beating Liverpool 1-0 at the Stadio San Paolo.
“Liverpool are incredibly strong in attack and we didn’t allow them a single shot on goal, so that tells you what a remarkable performance it was.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to win the opening game in Belgrade against Red Star and those two dropped points could prove costly at the end of the group stage.
“Our next game is against Paris Saint-Germain who, like Liverpool, have such great potential in attack. We know who we are facing and what we need to do, not to mention there are other Serie A games to think about before then.”
Carlo Ancelotti took over from Maurizio Sarri in the summer and has transformed Napoli’s tactics from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 with very attacking wingers, making Hamsik more of a playmaker.
“I am an attacking midfield, so for most of my career I’ve been accustomed to scoring goals, which makes playing in a deeper role a bit of a novelty for me.
“I do like to see a lot of the ball, though, so I don’t see it as a problem.”
