Marek Hamsik says he is aware that Premier League clubs will be watching him when Napoli play Liverpool at Anfield in the Europa League this evening.

The 23-year-old Slovakia international has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, although Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has laughed off any speculation that he'll be leaving.

Hamsik had told Italian TV at the weekend that he would find it very hard to say 'no' to an offer from United despite recently signing a new contract with Napoli.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands a Manchester United scout will be in the stands tonight to monitor the player they are lining up as Paul Scholes' long-term successor.

"Playing against Liverpool in this stadium is a big and beautiful thing and we hope that in the future we'll play games of this nature as much as possible."
