The Switzerland international has been increasingly linked with a departure from Rafa Benitez’s squad this summer, but saw interest from Inter die down and his pre-season begin with the Vesuviani.
However, reports on Wednesday evening suggested a deal with Bundesliga side Hamburg had been agreed and that the 29-year-old was already on his way out to Germany.
Bild reiterate that position today, reporting that Behrami is currently in Hamburg undergoing medical tests ahead of completing the transfer.
It is understood that Napoli have accepted terms on a €4.5m deal and that all that awaits official confirmation is the player passing this medical and then penning his contract.
