Diego Maradona, Fabio Cannavaro, Sandro Mazzola, Giacomo Bulgarelli and Carlo Ancelotti are among those to enter Italy’s Hall of Fame.
Beppe Marotta, Ferruccio Novo, Carlo Carcano and Stefano Braschi complete the latest list of nine representatives of the game that will enter Coverciano’s football museum.
The fourth selection of its type has been confirmed today by a panel of experts at the Italian Football Federation’s headquarters in the capital, Rome.
The list is compiled from those selected in different categories – Maradona enters in the foreign player category, Cannavaro enters as an Italian player.
Ancelotti does so as an Italian Coach and Marotta as an Italian director, whilst Braschi is the Italian referees’ latest addition and Mazzola is the veteran Italian entry.
Novo, Carcano and Bulgarelli are added as posthumous honours.
