He’s now won the first Serie A title in his career with Inter.
“I watched Sassuolo–Atalanta. This is a significant title for me. We were all waiting for Atalanta’s result. I think my first season in Italy has been very positive,” Hakimi told El Chiringuito.
But why did he leave Real Madrid?
“People said I wanted regular game time, but that’s not true. Madrid was my home, and I would have liked to stay. However, they decided otherwise.
“I felt I was up to the task, but there were economic issues due to the pandemic, and I had to leave.”
Could he return to Real Madrid one day?
“Nobody has called me, they had a chance to sign me last season, but they made different choices.”
