Hakan Calhanoglu is set to join Inter as a free agent and will undergo his medicals with the Nerazzurri today.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 27-year-old will sign a three-year, €5m-a-year deal with Milan‘s arch-rivals.

He’s spent four seasons with the Diavoli and rejected their contract offer worth €4m-a-year.

As it happens with many other free transfers, Inter will pay a fee to the player’s agent, which, however, hasn’t been disclosed yet.

Calhanoglu returned to Milan on Monday evening after Turkey’s disappointing Euro 2020 campaign. They were included in group A with Italy, Wales and Switzerland, but were eliminated after losing all three games.

The 27-year-old confirmed on Monday he’s reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri.

He will undergo his medicals with Inter today before signing his contract with the defending Serie A title holders.

Calhanoglu scored 32 goals in 172 games in a Rossoneri shirt.
