Gheorghe Hagi said Napoli signing Vlad Chiriches is “the best Romanian defender of the last 10 years.”
Chiriches arrived from Tottenham over the summer and is taking some time to settle into Serie A.
“Chiriches is the best Romanian defender of the last 10 years, after Cristian Chivu,” legend Hagi told Radio Crc.
“He knows how to cover the spaces, but also create moves from the back. He understands the game, has quality when taking men on and has creativity.
