Milan legend Ruud Gullit believes Juventus “can do it” in the Champions League this season.
The Bianconeri have won five Scudetti in a row, as well as two consecutive victories in the Coppa Italia, but European success has so far eluded them.
“They can do it,” Gullit told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I already saw them in the final in Berlin [in 2015] and I can’t pick a favourite this year. The most important thing is to get to the end of the season in top form.”

Gullit is no stranger to European success, having won back-to-back European Cups with the Rossoneri, and he reflected on a match against Red Star on the way to that first triumph.
“On the pitch [Roberto] Donadoni took that hit, and everyone thought he was almost dead.
“In the dressing room at half-time we heard an announcement in Slavic over the loudspeaker followed by a chorus of boos.
“When the message was repeated in Italian we understood: the loudspeaker said that Donadoni was out of danger and the fans booed that.
“It enraged us, fired us up and that’s part of the reason we won. Later, their director came onto our bus to apologise and we sent him away.
“[Coach Arrigo] Sacchi was ahead of his time, a master of organisation. The secret was the repetition of training exercises. We’d attack with 11 against six, two central midfielders and four defenders and we never scored.
“Sacchi would then remove the two midfielders and even then we couldn’t score, the defence was so well organised that all you could do was shoot from distance.”
