Milan legend Ruud Gullit believes Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt would help Bayern Munich and claims Erling Haaland should join Liverpool.
Bayern Munich and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing De Ligt. The Dutch defender’s contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2024 and he will have a €125m release clause included in his contract starting from next summer.
Juventus are trying to lower their wage bill and may need to sell him should they not afford a higher salary for the 22-year-old.

“Matthijs learned a lot at Juventus and he could make a very good contribution to Bayern,” Gullit told Bild.
The former Netherlands star also shared his thoughts on Erlin Haaland, who is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
The best clubs in the world have been linked with securing his services and Gullit believes he should pick Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
“I see him in England, but I think he won’t go to Manchester United. City would be good for him because of Pep Guardiola,” the 59-year-old said.
“But Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool would also be great. What Jürgen has done with this club is unbelievable. You just have to love him and he’s always hungry.
“That suits Haaland. In Spain, only Real Madrid are an option. These are the three clubs that will be in the running for Erling.”

If Juve received $125M for De Ligt that would be wonderful. He was never going to be a 10 year player at Juve with Raiola as his agent, so best to sell him in the summer when you have full leverage. With this money and the sales of deadwood like Sandro and Rabbiot, the club can strengthen considerably in all areas.
