Francesco Guidolin trusts his Udinese players “are stronger than me” in continuing their tour de force against Lazio and Juventus.

The Friulani’s 1-1 draw with Celtic saw them through to the next round of the Europa League, so in the space of six days they will play three huge games.

“We have only had time to do a quick training session to stop fatigue, then begin the journey to Rome,” said the Coach.
“I cannot complain, as I have a squad of real character and physical strength. My players are stronger than me in that sense, as they react well to problems and I have faith in them.

“Of course it’s not easy for anyone to play three games in six days. I have several things to consider, including Antonio Di Natale’s fitness levels.”

Against both Lazio on Sunday and Juventus on Wednesday it will be a battle for the Serie A leadership.

“Lazio are a strong side, the same as last year with the addition of two important strikers like Miroslav Klose and Djibril Cissè. I really respect Edy Reja and his assistant manager Gianni Lopez, who was one of my captains at Vicenza.

“They will be a tough opponent with quality, quantity and stamina. We’ve got to be at our best for the full 90 minutes.”
