Francesco Guidolin needs a result against Catania to retain fourth place and thanks his Udinese squad for earning him a contract renewal.

This week the Coach was rewarded for his fine campaign with a new deal that ties him to the club until June 2015.

“It made me very proud, as it means the club respects me and the lads for what we have achieved together. It took three seconds for us to reach an agreement, as I'll earn the same sum I had so far this season and last term at Parma.”

Udinese are the form team of 2011 in Serie A, still unbeaten and climbing to fourth place, although Lazio's win over Cesena on Saturday changed the positions.

“The team replied to our recent success with a mature attitude. We're aware of the dangers we face and I don't want to see any damaging euphoria within the squad,” continued Guidolin.

“Catania are an ambitious side who gave Napoli many problems, work hard and have quality. With so many South Americans in the side, they like to play the ball and we're gambling with a great deal.”

Alexis Sanchez has been crucial this season as well as top scorer Antonio Di Natale, as together they form an amazing partnership.

“El Nino is an important element in our group. The two Chilean lads, Sanchez and Mauricio Isla, do their country proud. We're going into the last quarter of the campaign and must get as many points as possible to qualify for Europe.”
