The ongoing Napoli crisis, exacerbated by yesterday's 3-3 draw against Palermo, shows no signs of resolution, and it is reported that the club President may assess his Coach’s position by the October international break.

With Benitez looking to be in a shaky position, several alternatives are being considered. Candidates allegedly include Luciano Spalletti, but the Tuscan Coach is still under contract with Zenit St Petersburg.

Roberto Mancini is seen as another option, though Mediaset suggest he may not be enthusiastic about picking up a team mid-season.

In the roulette of names, the most practical possibility reported by Mediaset again seems that of Guidolin, who ended four years as Coach at Udinese in the summer to take up a role as technical supervisor with the Zebrette.

It is reported that Guidolin has already been discussed by De Laurentiis and the Pozzo family, who have always been in good terms.
