El Nino Maravilla is in negotiations for a €35m transfer to Barcelona, although Napoli and Manchester City are also keeping an eye on the situation.

“I remain relaxed,” assured Coach Guidolin at the start of pre-season training today.

“If important players leave, and I underline ‘if', then they will be replaced by others who we'll try to make just as important. That is the journey this club has gone on many times over the years.

“I expect to have once again a squad that is hard-working, humble, hungry for success, with quality and a great deal of enthusiasm.”

Udinese are in the Champions League preliminary round, but both Sanchez and Gokhan Inler are on the verge of walking away.

A fee for Inler was agreed with Napoli a month ago, but he has struggled to sign off on personal terms, so has been given Monday's deadline to finalise the transfer.

“On the one side, I'm happy for any player who is ready to make that step up on the career ladder, but on the other I'd be happy if he stayed.

“Inler was very respectful and kind to me during the summer holidays, as he often called me to keep up to date with the situation. At the moment, though, I cannot say anything.”
