Former Palermo and Udinese Coach Francesco Guidolin reveals he rejected Napoli twice.

The tactician left the Zebrette at the end of the 2013-14 season, and has yet to get another bench role.

“I turned down the Napoli bench twice,” Guidolin explained to Radio Crc.

“On the second occasion I was wrong. The first time we [Udinese] had just reached the Champions League and I didn’t want to leave the team.

“On the second occasion I was wrong. The first time we [Udinese] had just reached the Champions League and I didn’t want to leave the team.

“The second time around I was was contacted for after [Walter] Mazzarri, before [Rafa] Benitez arrived. I was wrong to say no, I should have accepted De Laurentiis’ proposal, he was always good to me.”
