Francesco Guidolin's Udinese are top of the table, but he warns Sunday's opponents Bologna “have the same objectives for the season.”

The Coach took his team to fourth place last year and is flying high at the moment, though you wouldn't know that from his comments.

“Bologna have the same objectives for the season, so we are battling to earn a mid-table spot. This is just a passing phase and our story last year is the evidence, as we too started out badly only to climb all the way back up to fourth.

“It can happen for Bologna as well. In terms of performance, they have never been poor in these games and the table remains very tight. Don't forget they played very well against Inter and held Juventus” data-scaytid=”4″>Juventus to a draw in Turin.

“They are starved of points and have great quality, while we are coming off six games in quick succession. We also won't forget that last season Bologna picked up four points against us.”

Guidolin was criticised by many for rotating the squad in the Europa League on Thursday with many youngsters snatching a late 1-1 draw at Celtic.

“Those decisions were considered very carefully. I expected criticism and was concerned we'd have problems in Glasgow, but my choices were logical. If you are not rested, then you can't play six or seven games in a row at a good level.

“I would like the fans and media to help my players. It's not always possible to pick up 70 points in a year, even if I'd love to. We're coming off a season that cannot be repeated, partly because a large group in my squad played the Copa America over the summer.

“It certainly wouldn't hurt to feel a bit more faith around Udinese.”
