Genoa could be without star forward Albert Gudmundsson for Sunday’s trip to Milan, while Junior Messias misses a reunion.

It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

The Rossoneri still need to lock down second place in Serie A after guaranteeing their Champions League qualification, while Genoa have mathematically secured their top flight status for another season.

Gudmundsson is a major doubt to start the match this weekend, as he is suffering from flu symptoms.

The Iceland international has been crucial so far this season with 16 goals and four assists in 34 official appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Gudmundsson not only issue

Gudmundsson is not the only problem for Genoa, as they are also likely to miss ex-Milan winger Messias due to a muscular issue.

Ruslan Malinovskyi, Mattia Bani and Alan Matturro are also bound to be ruled out for this trip, so Caleb Ekuban could partner Mateo Retegui upfront.
