‘Guardiola in love with Vlahovic’: Man City pounce on Fiorentina star

According to La Repubblica, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is ‘in love’ with Dusan Vlahovic’s qualities and potential, so the Premier League giants are planning to sign the Fiorentina star in January.

Manchester City have been on the lookout for a new centre forward for several months. T0ttenham’s Harry Kane was their No.1 target over the summer, but Spurs refused to sell him, so Pep Guardiola has been forced to look elsewhere.

According to Repubblica.it, Vlahovic is now on top of Manchester City’s transfer shortlist for January.

Guardiola is reportedly ‘in love’ with the player’s qualities and potential and the Premier League giants have begun preliminary talks with Fiorentina.

Arsenal would be open to paying such a fee, but Repubblica confirms Vlahovic is not willing to move to the Emirates Stadium.

According to the report, Sassuolo‘s Gianluca Scamacca is Fiorentina’s main target to potentially replace Vlahovic.

La Viola also want to sign a right winger and both Domenico Berardi and Jonathan Ikoné are on their radars.
