Sky Sport Italia claims Italy World Cup winner Fabio Grosso has informed Frosinone that he won’t remain at the helm after leading the Ciociari to Serie A promotion this season.
Grosso’s contract at the Stadio Stirpe expires at the end of the month, but decided not to extend and has already informed the club about his decision, reports Sky Sport.
Frosinone have become Serie B champions in 2022-23, earning promotion to Italy’s top flight alongside runners-up Genoa and play-off winners Cagliari.
Grosso won 42 of his 88 games in charge of Frosinone, adding 24 draws and 20 defeats.
According to Sportitalia, former Roma and Sassuolo boss Eusebio Di Francesco is the leading candidate to replace Grosso. Roberto D’Aversa and Fabio Pecchia are also being considered by the newly promoted Serie A side.
