Atletico Madrid won the appeal against Antoine Griezmann’s two-match ban, so the Frenchman will be available against Milan next week.

Griezmann missed Atletico Madrid’s Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield Road two weeks ago after seeing red in the reverse game at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Atletico Madrid had hoped that it would only be a one-game suspension, as he had not seen Firmino was so close when taking his foot so high to reach the ball.

UEFA imposed a two-match ban, so Griezmann was supposed to miss the game against Milan as well.

However, the Colchoneros have won the appeal against their striker’s ban, so the former Barcelona star will be available when Milan travel to the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri have only collected one point from four Champions League games and need to win both matches against Atletico and Liverpool, hoping the La Liga giants draw against Porto in the last group stage game.
