Gremio President Romildo Bolzan Jr confirms Napoli have permission to negotiate personal terms with Everton Soares, but ‘€25m is not going to be a satisfactory offer.’
The 24-year-old forward’s father had confessed to Brazilian media yesterday that Napoli “presented a project” to the player and were going to make the formal bid to his club next week.
Radio Galera therefore spoke to Gremio President Bolzan to ask about the situation and reported €25m offer.
“We could negotiate his sale, but so far we haven’t seen any proposal put on the table, so there is nothing to evaluate. There was some contact with Napoli initially and we gave them permission to negotiate directly with the player over personal terms, but they have not yet reached an achievement.
“When that has been finalised, then Napoli will have to make a proposal to Gremio. I can say that €25m is not going to be satisfactory, even with the financial crisis caused by the pandemic.
“So far, we have not received any offer from them, whether it’s €20m, €30m or €40m.”
