Several Serie A teams have announced cases of coronavirus after testing ahead of the preparations for the new season and Gravina is ‘concerned about irresponsible behaviour’.
“The international situation requires maximum attention,” Gravina told Il Messaggero. “I’m concerned about irresponsible behaviour. We must absolutely avoid that.”
He stressed that the current situation has stalled the progress of reopening stadiums in Italy.
“Unfortunately, the trend of the infections doesn’t allow us to make progress at this moment, at least as regards large numbers.
“Football without fans is a lame spectacle, but we must realise what’s going on. We are ready, as soon as the conditions allow it we will do everything necessary.”
