FIGC chief Gabriele Gravina has called games without fans ‘half a spectacle’ but hinted that Juventus will be awarded the women’s Scudetto.
The Italian campaign restarted with the Coppa Italia final four, which Napoli won on penalties at an empty Olimpico in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I have to say that without the fans, it was half a spectacle,” Gravina told La Stampa.
“Stadia will reopen once we are definitively protected from this virus thanks to a vaccine.”

Whereas the men’s Serie A is restarting this weekend, the women’s edition has already been abandoned, owing to its non-professional status.
“I tried to ensure a verdict on the pitch, but the players and above all the clubs took another path, penalised by their current amateur status.
“However, the federal council on June 25 will be largely devoted to them. We’ll establish a date for which the women will become professional with equal rights.”
However, Gravina is expecting Juve to be crowned Femminile champions, given their nine-point lead before the lockdown.
“With an advantage of nine points, it would seem an act of grave injustice not to do it.”
