FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has called on Italy icons Gianluigi Buffon and Francesco Totti to take up positions with the federation.

Buffon is still playing at the age of 40 with Paris Saint-Germain, while Totti retired in the summer of 2017 to become a director for Roma.

Nonetheless, Gravina told Tuttosport: “Maybe we’ll have them with us.

“They’re icons of world football and garner affection and acceptance at every event.

“How could I not express a positive opinion about them?”
