Udinese boss Luca Gotti admits Roberto Pereyra’s injury forced him to change his game plan in a 0-0 draw against Genoa.

The former Juventus and Watford man sustained a shoulder injury in the first half of Udinese’s home clash against Genoa.

“We had prepared the game trying to create spaces by letting them keep the ball possession. However, Pereyra’s injury changed our plans and this affected us in the first half,” Gotti told DAZN.

“A draw is never a bad thing, it was a hard-fought match and I appreciate the players’ commitment.”

Udinese return to the pitch on Thursday, in an away clash at Lazio.

They sit 14th in the Serie A table with 15 points in 14 matches.
