“Napoli are an excellent team, but people are realising that you can’t take anything for granted in football,” Gotti told Udinese TV after holding Lazio to a draw.

“It was difficult to predict our victory away to Roma. The point against Lazio is with a team that is challenging for the title. You also might think we’d get the full points against Genoa or Sampdoria, yet that didn’t happen either.

“Napoli are still in the Champions League and I liked them even before the lockdown, as they had already found a balance between attacking quality and solid defending. It’s a complicated team to face and we’ll try to use all our strengths.”

Stefano Okaka is suspended, with Mato Jajalo, Rolando Mandragora and Lukasz Teodorczyk on the treatment table.

“Jajalo’s injury might not be too serious, but at the same time, I think the season is already over for him,” added Gotti.

Udinese squad for Napoli: Musso, Nicolas, Perisan, Samir, Troost-Ekong, Nuytinck, Ter Avest, Stryger-Larsen, Becao, Mazzolo, Zeegelaar, De Maio, Fofana, De Paul, Walace, Sema, Ballarini, Palumbo, Lirussi, Lasagna, Nestorovski, Oviszach, Compagnoni
