Gotti’s side lost in the final minute of their last game, away to Milan, and the Udinese coach relates that it was a bitter pill to swallow.

“It was difficult for me to digest. I was unable to remove the bitterness of that defeat for a few days,” said Gotti in his press conference.

“In general however, I don’t think the way in which we lost at San Siro has had any effect on my players. I have seen them all week and they’ve trained well. Something that wasn’t taken for granted not so long ago.”

Gotti states that he expects a tough battle against Parma at the Tardini.

“I saw Parma last week against Juventus and they were extremely dangerous. They have this quality of being able to suffer and suffer and then make themselves dangerous as if nothing had happened before.

“We are talking about a side who always manages to remain attached to the match, a team with quality and experience.”

Asked if facing Parma would be more problematic than Milan, Gotti agreed.

“It will be more difficult to face Parma, because it will be difficult to recreate the mental conditions that allow you to have a certain type of attitude at the Tardini rather than at San Siro.

“However each game is worth three points.”
