Inter have finalised the signing of Robin Gosens from Atalanta and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Germany international will undergo his medical with the Serie A champions by tomorrow.

Gosens is set to join Inter on loan with an obligation to buy for €25-27m, including add-ons.

The 27-year-old has rejected an offer from Newcastle United to move to San Siro. The Premier League strugglers had reportedly offered a €3.5m-a-year deal, but Gosens opted to sign Inter’s €3m-a-year contract instead.

Yesterday’s meeting in Milan between Inter’s chiefs and Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi unlocked the deal and Gosens is now ready to join Inter.

The Germany international is currently out of action with a thigh injury. He played his last Serie A match on September 25 and has only collected eight appearances across all competitions this season.

Gosens joined Atalanta from Heracles Almelo for just €1m in 2017 and the 27-year-old has gone on to score 29 goals and deliver 21 assists in 157 games with La Dea.

  1. Great profit for Atalanta, great player for Inter! Hopefully his hamstring has recovered and he’ll be back to the way he was! I can see him even playing WITH Perisic against smaller teams… Moratta you beauty!!!

  2. his injury is different than chiesa..with acl injury chiesa absolutely will be different player…juve fans should worried more than inter fans about gosens

  3. Very true I Miss Juve, unlike the pub team and serial whipping boys of European finals (7/9), who still believe that a team does not need a midfield. Their young wine is not getting any better with age and tasting very sour for the last few years.
