Atalanta left-back Robin Gosens has said he would have liked to face Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and insists La Dea have learned a lot from their defeat against the Reds in Bergamo.
Atalanta suffered a heavy 5-0 home defeat in the first-leg against the Premier League giants three weeks ago. The two sides will meet again at Anfield Road on Wednesday evening.
“It’s one of the best games a player can play. We’ve learned a lot from the first-leg, we face a very strong team,” the German said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old scored against Everton at the Goodisn Park in a Europa League clash in 2017 and hopes to do the same at Anfield.
“Wingers will be crucial, I am looking forward to face Liverpool. I’d like to score tomorrow as I did against Everton to come full circle.
“It’s a pity [Trent] Alexander-Arnold won’t play. He is one of the beck fullbacks in the world, we’ll need to be compact tomorrow.”
