Atalanta are sweating over Robin Gosens conditions as he suffered an injury in his left foot when playing for Germany in the World Cup Qualifier against Liechtenstein.

DFB – the German Football Association – announced the results of the instrumental tests, which confirmed a ‘capsular injury in the left foot’.

The medical staff of Die Mannschaft will evaluate if the left-back can play in the next two qualifiers against Armenia and Iceland.

Timo Werner and Leroy Sané scored the goals in a 2-0 win over Liecthenstein and Germany are currently second in Group J, one point behind Armenia.

“Robin Gosens suffered a capsular injury in his left foot last night,” DFB wrote in a statement. “A decision on his availability for Armenia and Iceland is yet to be made.”

Atalanta play Fiorentina after the international break and are already without injured Hans Hateboer.

Gosens, capped 12 times by Germany, played both of the Orobici’s games in Serie A 2021-22. La Dea sit ninth in the table with four points from their games against Torino and Bologna.
