Palermo defender Giancarlo Gonzalez “is wanted by three top clubs,” said the Costa Rica international’s agent.

“There are three top clubs who are very interested in him. I cannot name names, but they are certainly among the top 10 strongest teams in Europe.
“After the Gold Cup we will evaluate everything, even if no concrete offer has yet arrived on Palermo’s desk.

“My client has a high release clause on his contract, but it wouldn’t be a problem for these clubs to pay it.
“Giancarlo is very happy in Palermo and I would advise him to continue his experience in Sicily to mature further. However, the transfer session is long over the summer and anything could happen.”
