Napoli’s talks for Maxime Gonalons have formally ended, as Lyon announced “he has decided to stay here.”
The negotiations for the midfielder had already been at a very advanced stage in January and a move seemed imminent this summer.
However, the deal was repeatedly delayed and Napoli expressed their frustration, so the matter now seems to be over.

“Gonalons has decided he wants to stay here, despite having been approached by several clubs, including Napoli,” read a statement from Olympique Lyonnais.
“After a few days of vacation, Gonalons will reach his teammates to start the new season.”
