Dutch media report that Mario Gomez could be set for a move to Eredivisie side Ajax.
The German forward does not appear to have a future with current club Fiorentina and has recently turned down a permanent switch to Besiktas, with whom he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season.
The 31-year-old has even been linked with a transfer to Barcelona of late, but Voetbalcentraal.nl say that Gomez has been spotted in Amsterdam and may well be on his way to Ajax Stadium.
