New financial details are emerging, with Tuttomercatoweb suggesting it’ll be a loan with obligation to buy for €6m plus another €2m in bonuses.
The Argentina international would then receive a contract worth €3m per season until June 2023.
Gomez had received superior offers from Hertha Berlin and Al-Hilal, including a three-year contract worth €5m per season net to play in Saudi Arabia, but preferred Sevilla.
