“Germany have been marvellous, they are a very strong team,” Gomez, who missed the majority of last season through injury, said to Sky Sport.
“My teammates were perfect and we put on a great performance. There are players who come from a lot of teams and everyone has known how to create a good group.”
Gomez then answered questions on new all-time record World Cup goalscorer Miroslav Klose and Fiorentina’s upcoming season.
“Klose is a great, a legend and an incredible player. Fiorentina? I am sure we will have a great season.”
