La Nazione reports that Vincenzo Montella is considering giving the pair 45 minutes, as both look to continue their recovery from respective injury setbacks.
Marin could be handed an attacking midfield role in support of fellow Germany international Mario Gomez, in line to be handed the leading role in attack.
However, the newspaper cautions that with Napoli set to visit the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday, Montella will not risk either player if they are not fully fit.
Both Marin and Gomez have been included in the Viola’s squad for the match.
