Papu Gomez praised Atalanta’s strength in depth after a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina and believes they can eliminate Borussia Dortmund from Europe.
“When we do squad rotation, we almost don’t even notice. There is this chemistry that runs throughout the side, so anyone who comes in knows what to do,” the Argentine told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a good game and a pity not to have won. This season, I’ve always had a few niggling injuries that prevented me from being 100 per cent fit. I’m slowly getting back to my best and hopefully will be sharper by the end of the season.”
Atalanta are fighting on three fronts, as they are in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus and on Thursday lost the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 in Dortmund, 3-2.
“We believe in the comeback against Borussia Dortmund. We know we already did well there, that we have two away goals and can hurt them. It’s crucial to be intelligent and not concede.”
