Pierluigi Gollini’s move to Tottenham is virtually a done deal with Sky Sport Italia reporting Spurs can sign the player permanently or extend his loan in 2022.

Gollini is set to move to North London on loan with an option to buy in June 2022 for €13m plus €2m in bonuses.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, Tottenham have an option to extend the player’s loan for one more season by paying €2m at the end of 2021-22.

Atalanta have already signed a replacement for Gollini, having secured the services of Juan Musso from Udinese for €20m.

Tottenham are also in talks with Atalanta to sign Cristian Romero, but the two parties have not yet reached an agreement over the price tag of the Argentinean defender.

Gollini already played in England with Manchester United and Aston Villa.

He joined Atalanta on an initial loan deal from Aston Villa in January 2017 and has 109 appearances with La Dea.
