Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini should have his Tottenham Hotspur medical tomorrow, as more details emerge on the loan with option to buy for €15m and the clause making that an obligation.

The deal was essentially done already yesterday, but the 26-year-old shot-stopper is now expected to fly out to London tomorrow morning.

According to Sky Sport Italia, he is having some tests in Italy first, the results of which will then be passed on to the Spurs staff.

The new development explained by transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio is that there’s a clause making the move permanent if Gollini makes at least 20 appearances for Tottenham during the season.

That’s not just in the Premier League, but includes appearances in all competition.

Once he reaches that 20th game in the Spurs jersey, Tottenham commit to the purchase at a total cost of €15m.

Gollini has a contract ready with the Premier League side until June 2026.
