Gollini set for Napoli return from Atalanta

Sky Sport Italia report that Pierluigi Gollini will return to Napoli on loan with an option to buy for €7m from Atalanta.

The goalkeeper was also part of the Scudetto-winning campaign, as he interrupted the previous loan at Fiorentina in January to join the Partenopei.

It seems he made a mark there, because the 28-year-old is heading back to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the deal will be on loan with an option to buy for €7m.

The cost of the season-long loan will be circa €400,000

His contract with Atalanta only runs to the end of this season, so he would need to sign an extension with La Dea before making this work.

He will then act as the understudy to first choice goalkeeper Alex Meret under new coach Rudi Garcia.

Gollini is well-travelled, playing for the likes of Manchester United, Verona, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Fiorentina in his career.
