Injured Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini does everything he can to get ready for the big match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Gollini was replaced by Marco Sportiello after four minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Inter last weekend and has vowed to ‘never give up’ and fight to be ready for the quarter-final against the French champions on August 12.

The goalkeeper clashed with teammate Robin Gosens when Danilo D’Ambrosio gave Inter the lead after only one minute and Gollini, who suffered an injury in the left knee, has been assessed daily.

He posted a message on Instagram, revealing that he’s doing all he can to play in Lisbon next week.

“The trauma caused a hyperextension of the posterior cruciate in the knee. But the ligaments are injured, and it will be a race against time,” he wrote. “We will continue to evaluate day by day because warriors never give up.”
