Two Serie A players, both from Juventus, were included in the 25-name list of finalists for the 2024 Golden Boy Awards, a prize established by Italian newspaper Tuttosport and addressed to the best under-21 footballers playing in a European top-tier.
Two Juventus players among 25 Golden Boy Awards finalists
Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz and Samuel Mbangula were the only Serie A players to be included among the 25 finalists of the 2024 edition of the Golden Boy Awards.
Yildiz became a regular starter under coach Thiago Motta at the Allianz Stadium, as he has played all the Bianconeri’s seven Serie A games so far, although he still has to find the net. On the other hand, he scored on his Champions League debut to open the scoring in his side’s 3-1 win over PSV Eindhoven.
Mbangula, 20, also bagged a goal in his first-ever game with Juventus and in Serie A, putting his name on the scoresheet during the Old Lady’s 3-0 win over Verona back in August.
The likes of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid’s Endrick and Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaire-Emery also made the list of finalists for the 2024 Golden Boy Awards,
June Bellingham was named the winner of the 2023 edition of the prize.
