Mirko Vucinic is proud to have silenced his critics, but he insists he wasn’t playing that badly before his recent rush of goals.
The striker has scored three times in his last four games for the club after a period in which he was jeered by some of the fans.
“I was playing well even before, but the goals didn’t come,” he told the Juventus website. “Now I’m scoring with continuity, but this isn’t the main aspect.

“The most important thing is that the team achieves positive results. The fundamental aspect against Milan was to get through to the Coppa Italia Final. We wanted it, exactly like our fans did.”
Vucinic played a key role in last night’s 2-2 draw with the Rossoneri as his sensational extra time goal sealed a 4-3 aggregate win.
“Every now and again I can score these types of goals,” he continued. “Fortunately it went in this time…
“Milan caused us some difficulties, especially with their ball possession. But we managed to clinch this overall victory thanks to our drive, determination, running and sacrifice.
“You just have to consider the covering work carried out by our wide attackers and midfielders. And in extra time our strengths weren’t wasted.”
Having booked their spot in the Final, Juventus are now concentrating on reducing the four point gap between themselves and Milan in Serie A.
“We gave a lot against Milan, but it doesn’t really change anything,” the summer signing from Roma added.
“When you play Inter, you know that you’re facing a great side and that you’re required to give your all.”
