UEFA have officially agreed to use goal-line technology at Euro 2016 and next season’s Champions League.
The system has already been used successfully at the 2014 World Cup and in Serie A, Ligue 1, the Bundesliga and the Premier League.
Today UEFA’s Executive Committee confirmed goal-line technology will be implemented at the upcoming European Championships in France.
It’ll also be used in the Champions League from next season, but only from the knockout stages and not the group games.
