Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli said Luciano Spalletti has done well to ‘preserve everyone’s resources’ and stressed the Partenopei are not under pressure against Bologna.
Milan secured a 1-0 win over Torino on Tuesday and Napoli must pick up three points to catch up with the current league leaders.
Spalletti is in the stands, as he was suspended at Roma but sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli stressed the Partenopei are only focused on their own performances and not looking at the other teams.
“We have to isolate ourselves and think only of our game, it’s the secret of winning teams and it must be for us too,” Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia.
Lorenzo Insigne has recovered in time for the match against the Rossoblu but Giuntoli stressed the captain is not the only ‘important player’ in the squad.
“There’s not only Lorenzo among the important players of the team, I think the coach has been able to lift everyone’s energy,” he said.
“The five substitutions can take away 20 minutes from everyone. Spalletti is very good at adjusting and preserving everyone’s resources.”
