Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli insists Luciano Spalletti has not discussed a new contract, but ‘he is in love with the city, the squad, the people and has given all of himself.’
It kicks off at the Dacia Arena at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
A point will be enough at the Dacia Arena this evening to guarantee the third Scudetto in their history after 1987 and 1990.
“It is a delicate and beautiful moment, we have that final centimetre to cover and we need to be concentrated,” Giuntoli told DAZN.
“After many years working here, seeing this recognition from the Neapolitan people makes me very proud.”
It has been a remarkable campaign with 25 wins, four draws and only three defeats in Serie A.
Coach Spalletti is the architect of this success story and is discussing a new contract to stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
“We have not talked about it, I know he is in love with the city, the squad, the people and has given all of himself to this project. We’ll see.”
This is Spalletti’s second season in charge of Napoli after securing a top four finish last term, while this year he also took the club to the Champions League quarter-final for the first time in their history.
