“The Europa League is one of our four objectives for the season, along with Serie A, Champions League qualification and the Coppa Italia,” Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia.

“The system has changed a couple of times, there’s a lot of squad rotation. We believe this is a complete squad, one that can give the club, President and fans a great deal of satisfaction. They are not exactly experiments, Rino Gattuso is trying to get the best out of his group of players.

“We were without Lorenzo Insigne, Eljif Elmas and Piotr Zielinski for a while, as well as Dries Mertens, so these are players who can change a game. However, when we don’t concede much and continue to create chances, we believe that sooner or later the results will come.”

Do Napoli join in Inter’s call for players to be left at home during the break for international duty, as the COVID-19 cases continue to rack up?

“In such a delicate moment, it’s important to leave the players as relaxed and isolated as possible, so we’d rather they were left at Napoli.”
