Olivier Giroud reveals the prophetic dreams from his mother’s friend prompted the Milan striker to reject transfers to Everton and Inter.

The France international veteran had been close to leaving Chelsea for Inter before he finally walked away this summer for the Rossoneri.

Even long before that, when still at Arsenal in 2017, he was on the verge of a switch to Everton.

Speaking to The Guardian after the release of his recently translated autobiography, Always Believe, he explains the sign from a higher power that helped convince him to snub those moves.

In the book, he explains that he decided against the Everton and Inter transfers after a friend of his mother, called Nicole, contacted them to reveal the prophetic dreams she had about these moves not bringing the satisfaction he was looking for.

It seems she is still sending Giroud messages from a higher power, this time about his future – or lack of it – with the France national team.

“Well, this is a little bit of a scoop,” he told The Guardian.

“She said ‘you will have to trust God regarding your future’ and there was a kind of prediction that I would not get into the national team this time. So many things that turned out to be true, I believe those are signs from God in heaven.”

  1. I’m no expert but my guess is that God is likely focused on things other than updates on your Everton transfer and whether your going to get capped for the national team soon….
