Olivier Giroud reveals “Roma called my agent” before he eventually joined Antonio Conte’s Chelsea on deadline day last month.
Giroud satisfied Chelsea’s drawn-out pursuit of a targetman after they failed to sign Edin Dzeko, but the Frenchman suggested he could have replaced the Bosnian at the Olimpico.
“Dortmund were interested but only in a loan deal, while Sevilla and Roma both called my agent,” the former Arsenal striker told Telefoot, as cited by Estadio Deportivo.
